An exploration of movement, intention, expression, shines and improvisation.

Two and a half hours of intensive latin dance training. We will begin this workshop with a comprehensive afro-latin dance based body movement warm-up. This will prepare our bodies within a historical, cultural and physical frame-work. From this warm-up, we will shift our focus to shines. There will be an emphasis on expression and intention as we dance. Finally the, intensive will end with an exploration into improvisation.

The goal of this intensive is to build tools that each dancer can take home with them to create their own sustainable and personal dance and improvisational dance practice. Through movement and vulnerability we will build confidence, connection and autonomy in our dancing.
